Not All who Wander are Lost

The party decided to keep heading east, basically for shits and giggles. They had no specific destination in mind: If you have nowhere to actually get to, and no concern about getting back where you came from, you cannot get lost. You can still die cold, alone, and starving though.

In the Morning, the party decides to continue their journey to Nowhere In Particular, but knowing that if they keep going east they will eventually come to the ocean. Unfortunately they didn't need an ocean to get drenched. They were caught in a terrible downpour, soaking them utterly. They did however, manage to avoid the worst effects of the rain, keeping themselves warm enough until they could make camp, as it was too wet to travel any further.

The Stiff Necks of the Dwarves

The next day, they persist in their plan and continue east, with essentially nothing happening until noon, when Kelter notices what appears to be a very large cocoon suspended from a tree not too far away. This terrifies the already nervous halfling and gives him the shakes. Upon closer observation, the cocoon appeared to be made of cloth, and the heroes decided to investigate more closely. Rather than a cocoon, they happened upon what modern folks would recognize as a hot air balloon. It was piloted by a peculiar dwarf with a newly broken leg named Andred, who had sworn an oath never to touch the ground. The party approaches, and the pilot threatens them with one of his loaded crossbows. However, they convince him that they have no intention of robbing him and he accepts their help. Vinny scrambles up and assists Andred, and between Vinny and Echo, they get the balloon up and flying again, with Andred on the mend. He gifts them with a silver mirror, and a promise to fly them to where they need to be at some point in the future. This will surely prove to be a useful boon in the future!

Repeat Performances

Seeing as it was close to evening, the heroes make camp and get some sleep. The next day they were greeted with torrential rains, but not enough to slow them down. Echo led them through the rain, and after some travel came across a group of flagellants, which the party easily avoided, being no more interested in conversing with religious zealots than they were at the beginning of their travels. Another day of travel passed, and they make camp again, with the strange fox Vinny had found following them at a distance, but always sleeping by their campfire at night. The next day the party is caught in another downpour as evening falls, and Echo ends up getting quite a chill, and no one gets any sleep. Vinny ended up getting the shakes and claustrophobia from some very bad pushed Wits rolls with all the rain, but should be OK in a few days.

East Coast Lifestyle

The next day the party encounters a twenty or so beggars who are the remains of the village of Freygrove, that was burned down by rapacious adventurers. Our heroes, fearing foul play, intimidated them and they went on their way.

In the morning, the party reached the ocean, coming across the legendary village of Pelagia, with its four holy monoliths. Humans are said to have first arrived in Ravenland at this very spot!
